JOB OPENING: Cashier

JOB TITLE: Cashier

QUALIFICATIONS:   

  • Minimum completed 9th grade  

  • Minimum 15 years of age         

  • Accurate mathematical skills  

  • Able to competently follow instructions

  • Able to establish effective working relationships with fellow employees

  • Basic customer service skills

  • Dependable, courteous and neat appearance

  • Physically fit and capable of doing light and moderate lifting

  • Superior public relations skills

  • Work a flexible schedule including weekend work

EXPERIENCE: 

  • Experience in handling money preferred

  • Experience in operations of office or restaurant equipment preferred

  • Experienced in some phase of retail and/or sales preferred

KNOWLEDGE: 

  • Ability to count money and make change

  • Ability to learn and make rap[id and accurate arithmetic computation

  • Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn operating procedures for cash registers

  • Maintain accurate records and perform simple bookkeeping tasks

PRIMARY DUTIES: 

  • Assist patrons with questions regarding Wetlands or other regional facilities

  • Enforce all Wetlands policies and rules

  • Responsible for tube rental sales and accountability of inventory

  • Receive and maintain records of cash receipts for admissions and concessions

  •  Receive, count, band, balance and report cash and negotiable instruments for ticket sales, concessions and gift shop items

  • Operate a cash register, adding machine, credit card machine and other related equipment as required

SECONDARY DUTIES: 

  • Learn and carry out all concessions area operating procedure when necessary

  • General clean up and trash removal in admissions, dining court, concessions and tube rental areas

  • Other related duties as assigned

  • Cafe Supervisor,  Seasonal Water Park Manager and Water Park Director
