LOCATION

From Asheville

(Please note that the following written directions take advantage of I-26 for a longer distance than the Google map directions)

Take Highway 19/23 North towards Weaverville. 

After Weaverville, you travel towards Mars Hill.

Once you pass the Mars Hill exit, Highways 19/23 become Interstate 26 and continues on toward Johnson City, TN.
You will travel on Interstate 26 about 46 miles to Exit 17-TN 354-Boones Creek Road. Turn left onto Boones Creek.

Travel along Boones Creek approximately 6 miles to East Jackson Blvd-US 11E. Veer to the right at the traffic light onto US 11E and continue on for approximately 2 miles.

You will turn left at Persimmon Ridge Road. There is a Wetlands Water Park billboard.

Travel approximately .2 miles and turn right into Persimmon Ridge Park and the water park is at the end of the road.

From Knoxville

Take Interstate-40 East towards Asheville.
Merge onto Interstate 81 North towards Bristol, TN and travel approximately 23 miles.

Take Exit 23, the Bulls Gap/Greeneville Exit and turn right off the ramp onto Highway 11-E traveling toward Greeneville.

Travel along scenic Highway 11-E approximately 35 miles.
(You will travel through the city of Greeneville and then rural communities of Limestone and Telford before getting to Jonesborough.)

There is a billboard with “Wetlands Water Park” on the right and you will turn right onto Persimmon Ridge Road; then turn right onto Water Park Drive. The water park is at the end of this road.

From Tri-Cities Airport

After exiting the Airport property, turn left onto Highway 75 toward Johnson City/Gray.

Continue traveling straight on Hwy. 75. (Go straight through the traffic light at the intersection of Hwy. 36; the highway becomes 4-lane and the name changes to Bobby Hicks Highway).

Take Interstate 26 East/Hwy 23S toward Johnson City and travel approximately 4 miles.

Take Exit 17, the Boones Creek Road Exit (There is a Cracker Barrel Restaurant at this exit) and turn right off the ramp onto Boones Creek Road.

Stay on Boones Creek Road for approximately 6 miles until you enter the town of Jonesborough.

At the traffic light (notice Arby’s on your right), you will turn right onto Highway 11E and travel approximately 2 miles.

There is a billboard with “Wetlands Water Park” on the left (just after the grocery store on your right) and you will turn left onto Persimmon Ridge Road.

Turn right onto Water Park Drive and the water park is at the end of this road.
